In order to truly make a difference – to positively influence the evolution of the planet – we can serve best when we’re healthy, strong and balanced within ourselves.
In honor of Earth Day, I'd like to offer a few thoughts about food.
In Honor of The Earth, Simply Notice…
Without trying to change your behavior, simply notice the following:
By simply becoming more aware of the process of eating, and asking ourselves these questions, perhaps we can more easily remember to honor our connection with other living things on the Earth.
Earth Day Food Challenge: For one day, eat nothing from a box or package.
It's not in my scope of practice to recommend a particular diet, yet when you study all of the reputable diet programs, you’ll find one thing in common, with few exceptions: Eat whole foods with as little processing as possible. The beauty of this philosophy is that it not only keeps your body functioning at peak performance, but it’s best for the Earth.
