About Lauren
Lauren
has worked in the field of human achievement and motivation since 1984. In
1986, she replaced
her own addiction to cigarette smoking with a passion for health and fitness
(habits
are not really broken, they are replaced).
She was a body builder from
1986 to 1990, and
continues to use the principles of body sculpting as an example of the power of
thought to shape reality.
With a Bachelor of Science in
Mass Communications with
a minor in Psychology, Lauren worked with businesses and corporations producing motivational
media and events for over ten years. She went on to earn her formal certification as a Hypnotherapist in 1992 from the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy, receiving
additional certifications in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Advanced Hypnotherapy,
and Inner Child Therapy in 1993. She earned her Certification as a
Personal Fitness Trainer in 2003 from the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Over the past 20 years she has served as a Hypnotherapist,
Wellness Consultant, Fitness Trainer, Retreat and
Workshop Facilitator, Lecturer, Motivational Speaker, and Producer of Positive Media and Events.
Most recently, Lauren has added HeartMath coaching to her repertoire
as a Licensed HeartMath Provider.
HeartMath is a registered trade name for The

Free Hypnotherapy
Resource Forum at Evergreen Hospital, January 31, 2009, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
The fifth annual World Hypnotism
Day is officially January 4, 2009, and in honor of this global
event,
all are invited to learn and
experience the benefits of hypnosis at the Free Hypnotherapy Resource Forum at
Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in
Kirkland on January 31, 2009, 9:30am-3:30pm.
Hypnosis professionals from around
the greater Seattle area and the world will present classes, lectures, and
demonstrations of hypnotherapy
throughout the early part of January. Evergreen will host a free
Hypnotherapy Resource Forum
on Saturday, January 31th, 2009. Members of the National Guild of
Hypnotists
Washington State Chapter, a
non-profit organization, will be presenting free classes at Evergreen from 9:30
AM to 3:30 PM
“Hypnosis is becoming more and more
recognized as an effective approach for positive and healthy personal change,”
says Hypnotherapist Lauren Archer,
who teaches Hypnosis for Weight Loss classes at Evergreen.
"Today, executives, athletes, and peak performers
commonly use hypnosis to achieve higher levels of success and personal growth."
The free forum will offer a variety
of classes, including self-hypnosis, hypnosis for weight loss, habit control,
smoking cessation, athletic performance, and as an
aid to the healing process.
Attendees can gather information as
they peruse resource booths, and ask individual questions at the instructor
panel.
Most classes will include a group
hypnotic induction, so attendees can get a brief experience of what hypnosis
feels like in a safe environment.
“No barking like dogs or clucking
like chickens,” Archer assures. “Everyone can experience beneficial results
from hypnosis –
from stress relief to easing pain to
changing behaviors. We encourage everyone to drop by, ask questions,
and find out what hypnosis can do
for them.”
The Hypnotherapy Resource Forum at Evergreen is a free
event, and pre-registration is required. Interested participants should call
the Evergreen Healthline at 425.899.3000 or visit the
Evergreen Web site at
www.evergreenhealthcare.org to register.
